Cory Pinegar – Founder
In 2021, Cory founded the remote staffing company Teem, which helps simplify hiring international talent. Teem allows businesses to circumvent domestic staffing issues and find qualified talent without worrying about complicated research to understand legalities, fair compensation, and the like.
Cory sits on the boards of software-driven dental insurance verification company Verrific as well as The Parkinson’s Foundation, devoted to finding a cure for the disease his father was diagnosed with in 2014.
Cory studied economics and business at Brigham Young University and spends his leisure time skiing, playing golf, and enjoying the mountain lifestyle.
Teem’s beginnings
Teem began with a business owner who needed to scale good affordable talent faster than the local market was permitting. Our founder owned a service based business providing call answering services for companies across the United states. The employment market where the business was located was extremely competitive and was driving the cost of employment up to a point where scaling fast enough to provide the right support was difficult. While discussing his predicament with a few friends and colleagues, he was introduced to a program that placed students in US universities from other countries and kept a database of those students when they returned home. As the relationship developed, systems and processes were put in place to recruit many of these college graduates for his personal business. Other business owners started asking questions about how he was staffing and keeping costs down for the business, and that snowball effect became Teem. Teem is a highly systematized company that specializes in recruiting highly skilled affordable talent quickly.
